Fps drops and low gpu usage
I have i5 9600kf and gtx 1660ti, 16gb ram 2666mhz corsair.
Gpu usage never go above 65 percent in hogsmade and in hogwarts. And i get fps drops in hogwarts and hogsmade. In forbiden forest my gpu usage goes to 90 percent.
My setings is to medium and with amd fsr 2 and upscaling.

Is there any fix?

There's no "fix" outside of further optimizing, which I doubt they do.

Game is CPU limited in certain areas, yet also doesn't use the CPU well. That's why Hogsmead for example runs poorly for you. 1660ti is a weak card (no offense) for a brand new game, and this game wants waaaay more vram than it has as well. So you're likely memory limited in many places too.

Not sure if it will help, but I recommend Ascendio, the most popular mod at this time for Hogwarts. It has an executable to help improve FPS. The mod page also gives a link to Reduce Memory, a program you can run in the background to free up memory. The mod author recommended you set it to check every 5 seconds if memory usage is over 70%-80% and will free up unused memory. I use this to eliminate a lot of the stuttering and textures getting stuck in potato resolution. Ascendio is mostly a workaround until the devs better optimize the game.

I already tried that mod, but not big difference. Fps drops and gpu usage the same. I tried ascendio 11 mod.

Have you tried using DLSS swapper? Hogwarts comes with an older DLSS file and you can update that. It help some for me.

I think GTX cards can use DLSS. I saw a video on YouTube about how to enable it apparently.

GTX cards can use Dynamic Super Resolution and nVidia Image Scaling, and AMD's FSR, but they don't have the AI cores of the RTX cards needed for DLSS / DLAA.

It's sick to see cracked version with no denuvo gets alot better performance. Next time I will consider my next game purchase by whether it has that cancer denuvo or not.

I also saw the video. However, I would like to know if the difference in 2k ultra or 4k ultra is still existent?

To be honest, showing that a game without Denuvo (bypassed/whatever) runs on a GTX1060@7700 with 50 frames instead of 30 frames in 720p low settings isn't great proof of anything.

Except that Hogwarts Legacy runs better on a 7 year old low-end GPU, or on an 8 year old quad-core

My comment got flagged for "promiting" illegal as if I said I will pirate games, I said I will consider to buy or not if game has denuvo, people at steam pls...

Its so bad that we pay for game and cracked version works better and is for free. Good job developers.

I've used both the performance is abismal on both. There is no solution ATM. Just gotta hope some updates come out.

The cracked version emulates Denuvo and is no different in any way. If you want to be persuasive then stop spreading FUD.
