For someone that likes all aspects of the game, it won't make a difference. On the other hand, I didn't finish it. I don't like most Assasin's Creed games, but I heard good things about it so I gave it a go. Same as with Hogwarts Legacy, I only wanted to play the main story, but they wanted to make a 20hrs narrative into a 60hrs one and I couldn't be arsed. Them selling me separately the option of not having to play their game was just funny and a little bit rude.
It's fun to explore the castle a few times, to look around the open world for 3 or 4 hours but after that you have more or less seen everything and it all just becomes "ouh gee golly, you are 16 merlin trials away from increasing your inventory size :) " .. yeah ...thanks game .. I could do without.
The "proper" quests are fun. The interaction with your mates, with a few of the professors, the proper quest dungeons ... all of that is nice :) The combat too once you get used to the spam of enemies barreling down on you, sadly there is a harsh miss match between the fun and the pointless collectathon.
Would call the game decent but not masterfull .. could have been alot better with different core designe descisions and less of an attempt to hook the 6-12 gaming crowed while also being able to sell to adults. That never goes well and certainly didn't go well here.
From wide eyed wooooow I am in hogwarts :D I am a kid again :D ..whiii to "YOU HAVE ONLY RANROK TO BLAME!" full of spiteful hatred after smashing the guy head first into the ground a couple times ... like ...yeah ..that's what the magical hogwarts experience is all about.
Don't get me wrong - I do like my bits and chunks and gibs.. I also like my clean games ...What I don't like is when a clean game tries to pretend it could play in the other category or wise versa. The tone required to make either work simply doesn't mix nor match with the other. Had this game a little less "feel good :) " tone and atmosphere and a little more "the stupid stuff you are doing has consequences beyond the friendly wink of the teacher" that kind of combat and commentary could work. Haven't tested it yet but from what I am seeing I am fairly certain you will be able to fling unforgiveable curses about with no one in the world caring about it. That's the kind of designe flaw we are looking at here and that's something you can't patch.. only do better next game.
I even think in isometric view that game can be best like diablo 100 waves of monster 1 by 1 not only 20 enemy olny much more on screen.then system can stey same only view changed becouse i wont use my magic proper way agnist tons of enemy not 5 spiders or 1 acromantula.
NPC's dont even react to trolls\spiders near them. Lifeless.
I’d wager CP is a tad better than HL due to the combat one. You can have builds etc.
