I never liked puzzles in games to begin with so if the answer is just handed to me, I'll take it.
Like that one puzzle where you need pull some rocks out of the wall in a cave. Literaly just pulled random ones until it worked lol
for me it detracts as I do not feel like a character in the game, but just an observer of what´s happening on the screen
this is it! the puzzles are not hard so that is why it is even more insulting
It is ok, but why dont make it optionable?
Henriettas cavern got me for a bit.
The game doesn't even give you 5-10 seconds before it tells you how to solve the puzzle.
I would agree with you except think about it, you don't like puzzles (me either btw) and what are 90% of the quests in this game ? puzzles.
So sure, they're easy so we can breeze through them but it's still the focal point of this game behind the nice scenery and the story, solving puzzles.
It's not and action RPG it's a puszzle game unfortunately and not even a good one at that.
The problem with AAA open worlds is that they tries to introduce some much things that they can't make every mechanics great, creating good puzzles takes times and most devs don't really want to spend a lot of money on side activities, so they tries to find the sweet spot between money/time needed to make, player satisfaction (based on the average player) and numbers on said puzzles
Even Zelda BotW puzzles were disappointing to me, when i see a puzzle, i don't want to resolve it in Brain Dead mode, i want my brain to be active
The last great puzzle game i've played was... "Baba is You", the "Bonus" levels are great
