Ah in that case yeah it makes sense.
Tell me about it....
The same people say she's still human. That I don't agree on.
I saw a single person saying it's an abomination, I find that funny.
Now, while she isn't a cat, she certainly isn't a human either. a hybrid is still a species, a hybrid between human and cat would make her a hybrid species, so yea, the answer is still True, and not false.
One person said they liked the answer because she's a good for nothing know-it-all and wanted the answer to be wrong in order to take her down a peg. I honestly think it's a mistake, or more of a misinterpretation, and I want it the answer to be changed. Even if the change isn't to a species we know, it's still a change of species.
Polyjuice can't turn you into another species. There's a LOT of references to that. This one is probably the most authoritative, short of the same being said in the books.

Gaining superficial cat features isn't the same as changing or altering species.
Hermione herself in that scene says "Do you remember me telling you that the Polyjuice Potion was only for human transformations? It was cat hair I plucked off Millicent Bulstrode’s robes."
That scene is why I knew to answer False..
No she was still a human as her genes were human. If she had gotten pregnant she would have given birth to a normal human. She only OUTWARDLY had some superficial feline physical features. Think of polyjuice potion like an illusion you can touch. The actual person doesn't change, only their appearance changes.
This.
Also, something that no one here seems to have taken into consideration... TIME.
Even if we were to consider Hermione's transformation as her literally changing into a different species, we still have to take into account that the game takes place 100 years in the past, so unless Sophronia can see into the future, or someone else in the past that we don't yet know of successfully did transform into a different species using polyjuice potion, nothing about the question is wrong.
While I did consider the time aspect, it's probably not relevant. People being people, other wizards or witches have probably tried to do the same on purpose - Hermione most certainly was neither the first, nor the most successful, and the rule still was as it was.
In any case, it probably isn't relevant as the transformation changed her phenotype. It most likely didn't change her genotype at all. She was still human... just human with a skin condition, more or less.
And barring some panspermia-based explanation, aliens from another planet wouldn't just be different species but a whole different kingdom.
I wish you could use the killing curse on students, and this thread...
just cuz what she turned into doesnt exist and didnt have a genetically classified designation doesnt mean she didnt change species. so everyone saying she was still human is just wrong.
