but i did spend a lot of time eating or taking care of my dog when playing. I just never expected 15 hours of fluff. that threw me off.
I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't always closing gracefully. That would make more sense.
But as it seems most of the objects and scripts are hard coded into the save file (which is the worst thing developers can do)
I think your game time represent how long you have come in the game.
For me i've played on one character those 43 hours.
but due to some objects not spawning i had to backtrack a few times (loading an earlier save) i think the game doesn't count when you reload a save. up until you are at the same point.
Again can be a theory but it will be the only thing making sense in my time gap
as mine says 38 hours gameplay - while steam says 42 hours.
also noticed game runs a long time after you've closed it. could also be a hidden game counter on steam
