stuck on Percival rackhams trial, main quest /bug

I finished the dungeon and walk up to see the memory in the pensive, i hold the key and the video dose not play. the pensive cant be re clicked and im not getting any additional direction. if i leave dungeon i cant use flue flames and seem to be stuck in "on the quest"

i went back to previous save and did the last boss again, still same result. the video from pensive wont play and im stuck

I really dont know what to do. I cant see the video of the pensive and my automatic saves dont let me load a previous data and fight the boss again.

I have heard you can abandon the quest and restart it then it'll work. Which would've saved me a lot of hours. Surprised this hasn't been fixed considering it has been there since the day this game came out for early access

Wish I'd tried that LowIQ - sounds like a faster solution. I had to load a much earlier save to redo the boss fight (apparently defeating the boss fight didn't trigger a quest progression for me). Second time defeating it triggered the question progression and I was able to view the video.

Can you reset the whole quest? I have no earlier save and now my character is stuck in this quest.

This bug is super annoying, and needs to be fixed. How did they not find this pre-launch?

I know that pressing the key too long can skip a cut scene. Try just tapping the 'interact' key instead of holding it down.
