Audio balance and mixing

So, is it only me or the sourround sound mixing is weird? Currently I'm hearing the footsteps and the spell casting lines of my character completely out of the left channel on my headphones. Before you say, mines are the HD58x, and I already tried all of the other sound profiles on the settings (obviously my headphones aren't broken). Is it intentional perhaps? I really wonder, because in the cutscenes and scripted lines, the audio is always centered. Personally, I find this quite annoying, maybe it has something to do with the character position on the screen, since you can't change that I'm clueless to how to fix this

Does your sound card also apply audio effects?

Havent had that problem specifically. But I have had an issue where some sounds, like my own character's voice, are soft compared to other sounds further away.

A restart sometimes fixes it, sometimes not.

I'm currently using a fiio BTR3k as an amp/dac, it does not have a software, so no settings or effects are active

Yes the mix is garbage and it has worried me since the first gameplay trailers. Quiet footsteps etc.
