Beast Feeders
Not sure if its a bug or I was just lucky. But the first few times I entered the Vivarium after placing a beast feeder I would load it to beasts already fed. Then for some reason after a few times I started to load into my Vivarium with beats walking to the feeder to eat.

Anyone else notice this? Is it a bug or are they supposed to walk to the feeders? I find myself still having to feed them one by one because some of them either don't go to the feeder or just slowly walk to it from across the room.

Very rarely are mine already fed, they usually are always going to the feeder when I load in.

I don't think either way is a bug, but could be wrong

I've noticed plants don't grow or potions brew if you're logged out. So unless you're actually playing nothing works offline. So they could be fed just while you're playing.

While that may be the case, if you can do so, try to brush them before they reach the feeder, as the brushing action takes far less time than it takes for them to eat, so when they go eat after you brushed them you won't have to sit there for ages to brush them & of course after they start eating after the brushing action you can collect your resources immediately

I'd assume it's time based on when they're fed, it may last a specific amount of time before it depletes entirely, it would make sense if that were the case, and if you don't go to the room of requirement in a set amount of time, they aren't loaded in to use feeders until you arrive

This is 100% true, also cannot be in a paused action like the ESC menus and selection wheel

Hey I just want to know if I can breed a Phoenix. I'm about to do the quest but idk if there will be more than 1.

I never found a mate for it or the Gryphorn(?)
There is a challenge for breeding 10 'unique' animals and that is completed without either of those .. don't think there is or needs to be mates for either of those.

I've found at least 2 Griffin 'nests' (locations) and caught a couple. So you can catch them. Phoenix being very unique and how the quest was, it might be the only one (though I'm not 100% sure yet)

Just be quicker to get materials as there would be more to get them from. That's why I try to breed each twice so 2 offspring plus the 2 originals is 4 sets of materials. And when you're modding high end gear that's definitely needed.

Phoenix can't be breed, there's only one. For the graphorn.. I'm pretty sure you can get more after you finish that quest to get the first. I think they spawn at the nest bottom right of the coast. I havent rushed the main quest but I'm about to get access to it soon. What I got is information I found online, so I think they can be tamed later on.

Now that I think of it I forgot they reproduce asexually. They burst into flames and are reborn from the ashes.

Everything can be bred except for the phoenix, but I can give insight, if there is a beast icon the PAW Print Icon on the map, it can be bred

A way to get things to respawn and refresh, you don't have to attack nor capture anything using this method, just change the time of day, then fast travel to a floo flame, all beasts will reset and/or refresh to new ones

They go to eat when you enter the room for the first time during a session. You entering the room triggers it. They stay fed if you go in multiple times without closing the game. Either way, it's all triggered by you entering the room. It's not a bug. If they aren't fed, they'll walk to the feeder first when you show up.

I can confirm, upon completing the 4th trial, you can tame graphorns exactly where you get the lord of the shore :)
