Report a translation problem
The only thing I've found dumb in this general regards is lack of pale skin colors. Having to install a mods in first 30 minutes of game to make my character of my likeness is rather silly :D

There's not a problem. It is historically sound.
The only people with an issue with it are the racists.
You say this complaining about different ethnicities but the world is a rainbow friend, places of higher education showing the colours of that rainbow more than most. Not sure which "truth" you're referring to, especially in the context of a fictitious school that takes place in a piece of children's literature.
Maybe a walk is in order? Bit of fresh air might do you some good, maybe try to say "hi" to a few people that aren't the same colour as you while you're out there ;)
Isn't he the portrait in the headmasters officw as well?
