Question about Beasts

Is the point of the "shiny" variations purely cosmetic? Haven't noticed a difference as far as ingredient yield or sell price and have not yet unlocked riding beasts or breeding so can't speak about that yet.

they're purely cosmetic. you can't ride random beasts you catch; you can only ride 2 beasts you get from quests in the base game, the pre-order onyx hippogriff, and the dark arts pack thestral.

Okay thank you for letting me know! Hopefully, we will get more species space in the future so I can safely store all the shinies instead of carrying them around like potion ingredients...I wonder how comfortable the Nab-Sack is.
