What to do with this Merlins trial?

at first i though i need to rotate them with leviosa but they wont turn, only thing i can do flipendo but no matter how i arrange them, nothing happens

It is just a case of rotating it to the match the bottom with Flipendo.

I do have flipendo, i have tried turning it in different positions and though that maybe i need to get those symbols to match, but no matter how many times i flip them, they wont match

Flip from another side, it will match

Sorry I deleted that straight away as i didn't read you post properly apparently. But you can get them to match, that is the puzzle. Make sure they are not upside down etc.

Make sure you have a good look around. Some of the Trials are a bit cheeky with placement. There's a trial on the edge of a village that had the three sets of three balls on pillars that you need to break where two sets were outside the village and the third was inside the village in someone's garden next to the stone fence and blended in extremely well.

You need to flip the blocks from different sides. If you just hit one side with flipeno, it doesn't work.

after a while all merlin quest movable objects reset. for example: rolling the big stone into a puddle and rolling it somewhere unreachable. give it a while and return or just stand around not touching it for a while and it will blip back to where it started.

One side of the stone will turn the icons left.
the other side of the stone will turn the icons upside.
Do this to until both arrows is looking down to the ground

Orientate the one side and put the icon you want to line up on top, pointing up, move to the side and hit it until it the icons line up. Presto :D

Flipendo flips from the bottom of the block inward, away from you, from where you are standing.

That's how you'll know what to do.
