How to get companions?

Hy i have read that there are 4 companions in total and i belive i allready meet all the characters allready. Im allready after the first trial story wise.

The thing is i still have no idea how i can take a companion with me during my adventures or fight, nor where i can find them.

A site says each house has 1 companion, but i only can enter the dorm of my own and the companion (in my case poppy) is not even there.

There are no companions. You do some quests with pre-determined NPC and that is about it.

But I agree, the wording in some of the materials made it seem like it was more than that.

Thats really sad, the game is amazing but it would be so much better if i could have some sort of companion with me. The char even mentions at some place the you should go there alone or that it would be better to take someone with me. But i simply cant -,-

With dialogues like this sometimes I wonder if it was originally planned to be implemented but they changed it last minute maybe due to time or budget constraints or whatever reason. Hoping they work on updates abd add more things like this.

There are only three companions. Amit doesnt count. If he does then ominis should count also, considering he has more screen time than amit. As for poppy, natty and sebastian, Outside of their quests or certain main quests they won't accompany you at all.
