Second, gear appearance applies to the gear and not to the gear slot making us have to change appearance each time we change gear.
I feel like they wanted to cash in on the lockpicking mechanic, which seems to be all the rage in the past 10 years of gaming. When it fits into the world of the game, or character build, yeah it makes sense. But for Alohomora? It makes no sense.
100% agree that we should have the ability to toggle the lockpicking minigame off, as it simply does not make any sense and is annoying in this sense.
But a potion brewing mini game DOES make sense for this world and universe. Potion making was a large component of the HP lore. So why they failed to give us this option, but went for lockpicking "cuz EVERY game has lockpicking clearly gamers love it" >_>
On PC, you can press F to insta unlock locks to bypass the Alohomora mini-game. Not sure if it's there by default. Maybe it comes with Alohomora III, didn't pay attention to when I unlocked it. Or maybe it's difficulty setting. But at least the option is there
