Quest Bug: A Bird in Hand (Workaround included)

Come on guys, two quests now that can't be completed due to sequence breaks in a open world game.

We all know about the "Get the Biscuit" quest bug if you cleared the camp and the lock no longer being there, but I came across one even more annoying since it's a relationship side quest called "A Bird in Hand".

If you've been exploring absolutely everywhere during your playthrough odds are you'll come across these ruins well before you're supposed to, For some reason you can acrtivate the moonstone pedestal despite not knowing what it does and solve the puzzle to the entrance. You don't even have the moonstone so this shouldn't be possible at all, but you can.

Once you're in subtitles will pop up and your character will seemingly start to talk to themselves, proceeding forward will create a literal sequence break of everything in regards to do with this quest.

I've been trying to do EVERYTHING in this game even outside the challenges being 100%, but it's twice now I've been blocked from doing so and this one is far more frustrating than the biscuit one considering it's likely a chain of quests I'm never going to see the end to until it's patched and there's no telling when that'll be or if it'll ever fix current saves.

The Biscuit one was a fair oversight, but this one should never have happened. A key item was required to enter.

Edit: I've marked a possible solution from The Slacking Scotsman as the answer to this thread. If anyone else could confirm if this works or not just to ensure it's not circumstantial to The Slacking Scotsman and then leave a reply that'd be appreciated. Would do it myself, but I've since uninstalled Hogwarts Legacy.

Edit 2: Be sure to read through both The Slacking Scotsman and Professor's comments from the marked comment and below. Both users bring some workarounds for problems you may face in regards to this bug or other problems until a solution is patched by the devs.

The Scotsman's method seemed to work for me. Saved before completing the second door puzzle and after and upon reloading the first it continued on with dorrans appearance.

I am having a different problem, wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. I just finished the big fight in the room before the sniget door. After the centaurs talk to me and tell me to finish this quest it says to open the door to the sniget room. There is no option at all to open door. Any ideas?

I have this bug and reloading same save multiple times hasn’t fixed it. I tried saving in various of the rooms, nada

You sir, are a god amongst men. Thank you for sharing this, I was trying to fix this stupid bug for two hours straight.
