Do the RT reflections look bad to you?
For some things the RT reflections look good then other thing's it makes the wall look glossy and this is with RT on ultra and other things looks like the surface is constantly moving like it's alive is the RT bugged or is this how it's supposed to look I'm at the very start of the game just got into Hogwarts.

Yeah. They look really weird in this game. I turned them off.

OK good to know it's not just me I thought something was wrong like I'm looking at a stone pillar and it looks like I painted over it with gloss lol I think I'll turn it off and just keep RT Ambient Occlusion on and I legit can't tell what RT Shadows do lol except cut my fps in half

the look terrible and whats worse some glass reflections are spoofed rather than raytraced (if you pay attention to same glass cabinets the reflect wall sconces that aren't even in the room you are in). when wood that is labeled as "shiney" it has pixelated RT lighting and the actual mirrors look like complete garbage

also noticed effects on ultra look worse then high...

I just turned off RT I legit couldn't tell what the other two settings were doing and reflections looked nice for things on the ground but basically all the walls looked terrible it was to distracting for me plus it looked muddy and pixelated in spme places not worth going from 80-90fps to 60fps lol at 4K

The whole RT thing seems like a last minute implementation. Never seen so much flickery shiny reflections in some dark corner, Ambient occlusion is fake as it works as traditional ones (they disappear when obscured by your character, etc) and shadows are somewhat okay

With ini tweak, the RT looks decent. Reflections look better and isn't a GPU hog. The shadows are too demanding.

RT is hit and miss. FWIW, probably just better off leaving it off for thed FPS gain.

RT on and I get horrible pixelated shimmering on some of the main hall doors in Hogwarts. There's other areas where the shadowing on the ground becomes a Square that shows clear clipping of the shadow as it covers one textured tile but fails to carry over onto the next tile.

The RT doesn't look good enough for the trade off in performance in this game. I recommend leaving it off. The shadows even look better without RT.

I couldn't even tell what RT Ambient Occlusion & RT Shadows was doing inside Hogwarts I just watched my fps go from 90 to 60 I even did a screen shot and I still couldn't tell what was changing lol.
I was liking RT reflections till I saw what it was doing to wood&stone walls looked like every inch of Hogwarts was painted with a layer of gloss paint and some things looked lije ants were moving such a shame because thing's on the ground looked really nice

RT looks way better than non RT, I played 20h with RT ultra on a very high end 65" 4K 2000 nits HDR TV
Then I tried some optimized non RT settings during ~2h just to be locked 144Hz .

But no way, the game went from wow factor every corner to meh OK looking game

Tonight I'm back to the wow ultra maxed out settings and it's miles better. I don't care about the few (lot in few areas) shader compilation stuttering issues at this point.
