You use Q/E and A/D to spin the wheels, theres 8 directions, when youre in the right spot some smaller wheels move, theres a sound and a light. you put the inner and outer wheel in the right spot and the lock opens.

Just unlocked the Room of Requirement, but I guess I have to continue the main quest for being able to pick locks?
This is the easiest lock picking mini game in any game ever... all you do is move the right stick around til you see the lights flutter then hold that position, then do the same with the left.
It's like..the most simple thing... annoying but not difficult at all.
It's almost the same thing as the Skyrim where the lockpick has to be in the right position except that there are two things to position and they tell you when they are in the right spot.
