DROP OUT OF THE MAP

AFTER fall out of the map cant press any button. Cant open the map or open the setting page to read archive.

This happened to me after 23 hours without any bugs.

I wish i could revert to before the patch.

I had no idea this destroyed my save lol...

Yeah you fall through the ground on auto save, so when the game reloads you're stuck forever.

i'm gonna see if i can use cheat engine to kill myself so i can reload to salvage this, i'll let you know if i get any success.

Ignore the cheat table follow the instructions for installing the dxgi.dll and use the provided console commands. Use the free cam command first then teleport, then freecam again to disable.

The instructions and the file are at the bottom of the topic post.

Just close the game through task manager, open it again and load a save that isn't the most recent. You should have several autosaves, pick one from 10 minutes away and that should solve the problem.

Ok, if you know how to use cheat engine, you can use this cheat table

You can set "(death flag?)" to 1 and lock the "Current HP" value to -1
"Keep hp high" set to "no"

You still wont to be able to open menus or anything at first, your character will keep dying and getting back up (no idea why).

However, pick one of the times your character is actualyl dead and ragdolled, or just spam the map button while you're dying on repeat.

At some point the map will actually open and you can fast travel to save your world

I'ts happened once to me. Enemies have also dropped and never died. Best use for the second problem is incegnio with the upgrade.

Got the same issue. Character is stuck below world map

I had the same problem. I solved it with using a flying broom so I could fly out of it. People who don't have a broom then restart the game and take the older save.

i had that too, i was able to fast travel to another location though, and all was fine again

Idk why but now i can running but still cant use any buttoms

You gotta click the box next to the setting and lock it in place, same with setting death state to 1 instead of 0, you will be locked in infinite dying and rez loops, but while in the actual death state waiting for a rez, you can open the pause menu to fast travel.
