Repetitive as hell, a level system that isn't even required as the game can be easily beaten without leveling up.
But an amazing atmosphere.
I got addicted to that one, regardless of how plain it was, simply as how the atomsphere gave me a lot of immersion.
Similar as here.
And yeah, you may be right about that it benefits if you are a fan of the franchise.
Still good atmosphere stays good atmosphere.
Every game that ever won awards or a vast majority voted for is overrated according to the one guy who died to tree sentinel and alt f4' probably
The combat is challenging, but not unfair imho. And if you are defeated, you will reload directly before it starts.
I ended up in elden ring doing the same enemies again and again, just to level up. (as in all dark souls-games.) Because I'm just too scared to loose 20.000 souls (or something like that in lthe later game.)
And then I made an error and opened a chest I shouldn't open. I got teleported to a forest with several giant apes, not able to port anywhere again. I just can't defeat them, so I ceased to play since then...
This won't happen in Hogwarts legacy, because the system just won't let such frustrating situations getting true.
I hope to see them improve on the game through DLC. They have the sales to justify it. Also hope to see mods and denuvo remuvo.
No way it is better than Elden Ring, that game is a 10.
All people like you ever seek out in games is content that is 'more like Elden Ring's'. It's boring, This expectancy is self-centered and it's frankly like an autistic fever dream, over and over again.
It's okay you know. There can be a great degree of variance in gameplay systems. There doesn't have to be one model. Gaming isn't a sport.
I for one am glad that, as a hardcore Harry Potter fan and a fan of games like Fable and Final Fantasy XV, that Hogwarts Legacy is not like Elden Ring and I am glad it wasn't made with you lot in mind.
Some of us want more classic RPG elements. I love the game. As someone here has already written - it's still a better game than Elden Ring.
(Seriously, how fragile can you get...upset that a game is scoring as high as Elden Ring and is more popular
- upset because it's not like Elden Ring . 'It should only be this popular and get these high scores if it's like Elden Ring! Baby noises : Waaah, waaah, waaah, I'm a big baby melee meathead, and the gaming industry revolves around me! Waah, waah!)
Talk about tunnel vision.
It's because he or she is upset that Hogwarts Legacy knocks the socks off Elden Ring's position. The game is already immensely more popular than Elden Ring.
...imagine becoming even more irrelevant as an Elden Ring player. Also people like this feel threatened by successful games going in a different direction than Elden Ring, because they want the gaming industry to cater more to them and what they like. That last point has literally been my experience with most Elden Ring players.
As I said...they have tunnel vision. They don't want more creativity in the idustry: they want less of it and only one or two standards.
Chivalry 2 is the epitome of squandered potential
There is absolutely no way this game ever has a sliver of a chance to win GOTY. Too many journalists eat up everything the rageaholic twitter minority mob is telling them to eat.
