theres a couple more steps i tried that i don't recall what they were or nor do i do know to explain them. i hope that helps gauge where i am. i already submitted a ticket and nothing just general mails about FAQs that just show LOTS of people complaining about the same issue and devs responding with "we already fixed it". so kinda stuck now...
Sorry for bluntness by me but always when you have a problems show at least your specs or no real help.
Same here. I've never tried so many steps to try and get a game to work again. I saw on another board so many people are experiencing the same bug. It gets to the seizure warning, the strings kick in for like 3 seconds and crash. Steam says its still running but its not an option on any menu to pull it up. I did see someone else said they got it working creating another User account in windows. I tried that and it got me past the seizure warning, annnnnnd then it crashed the PC during the shaders prep. Restarted and back to the original error. Some kind of corrupted shader cache file. Who knows. Just can't believe so many people having the exact same issue and not even a mention of them being "aware" or working on a fix.
I already checked minimum, mid, high and 4k game requirements and my pc falls between the high to ultra 4k. would sharing the specifics of my pc help in any way when it falls in that range? i get it my OP leaves a lot of info out. i am mainly looking to know if there is something someone has heard like a problem with steam or something bigger as it appears this is affecting a decent number of people.
They can't possibly offer NO fix or patch for this with so many ppl on line complaining. Im gona wait and see. I was really enjoying the game.
I think i might be too far into the "play" timer to refund anyways so i might be doing the same. Good luck Johnny! hope it works for us :D
I am having the same issue as OP, with the game not launching. I don't know what my specs are, how would I find that out? I am not a gamer or tech savvy, but I am just a Harry Potter fan who wanted to try the game.
look up "system information" in the search area on your task bar. (should be bottom right for win10 or center for win11)
