Fps Drop on GTX 1060 and 16gb ram
I have a GTX 1060 6Gb and I7 processor with 2x8Gb ram. The game run at 40-50 Fps
on the lowest possible settings and the resolution is 1920x1080 but when i moving sometimes the fps drop to 15 sometimes lower. The ram usage is 95%. I don't know what is the problem. i know my video card is old but i watch a lot of video on youtube and the game runs perfecly with this card and with 16gb memory. Can somebody help me what is the problem?

Try this trick, helped me lower the stutter with my RTX 2060 SUPER ;

0. Calculate your appropriate "Streaming PoolSize", X is the size in GB of your GPUs VRAM.
X*1024/2
As an example, my RTX 2060 SUPER as 8GB, 8*1024/2 = 4096.

1. Open file explorer and write %localappdata% as the path. Should open C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

3. Copy Engine.ini and do a backup of the file just in case.

4. Edit Engine.ini in the notepad and add, at the end of its content, the following (change 4096 by your calculated poolsize). ;

[SystemSettings]
r.Streaming.PoolSize=4096

5. Save and enjoy.

What's your CPU?

You can also enlarge your swap file to 11gb

I'm dumb, forgot to specify the right path;
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Drag and drop the engine folder into the games root folder and run the installer, these mods have kept my game at very steady frame rates and I've had no stuttering since using them.

I think the game is experiencing a memory leak.

Game doesn't run perfectly with 1060 card....maybe runs ok with a really fast processor which you probably don't have

You having an aging, several generations old, budget-midrange card. You are getting the correct performance

Thanks for your help. The game runs now at 50-60 fps. It rarely drops the fps below 40. The game is now much more playable for me. No more big fps drop

Now i can play on 4k with stable 40-30fps on the lowest settings or 1920x1080 with 60 fps on any settings. THANKS
