Too much diversity

I'm seeing a lot of whining from people who are upset about the presence of minorities and diversity in this game. They say it's 'historically inaccurate'.

But wizards, magic, monsters, and Hogwarts are all totally historically accurate. Remember the wizards in history class? No, me neither.

Some peoples' selective outrage and butthurt is legitimately dumb. Point out the reasons they are upset about 'diversity', though and that's when the real crying starts hahaha.

every white character is incompetent or insolent,
every time you as the character are addressed, it's they/them or the student.

suspension of disbelief is a thing people tend to forget when people come with genuine criticism of games. Just because it's a game with magic, doesn't mean the overall feel/world of the game should be squandered. The game is STILL set in a time period where these things DID NOT EXIST, or at least was not as prominent as they are in the game. If they wanted diversity, set the game in 2023. This isn't it, chief.

Yes it is a fiction based magic world, BUT, the fiction is based on someones ideas and the first stories created by that person. So it has a history. You cant just change the whole apperance of a place, or population by not explaining the reasons why the change went in place, this would destroy the imersion and would make the story not belivable, and cause people to doubt its origins. It can even go that far to destroy peoples imersion they made in their head to dislike the created wizzard world and not watch or read it anymore.

So you cannot just add now super mario brothers in Lord of the Ring without people asking you if you are still sane as a writer. People got an idea of your world trough all the books you wrote for them, and changing that idea without a "logical"(for the possibilities of the world the story plays in) procedure leading to the change. You cant just wildlly add things to a magic world because thats just a symptom of poor writing.

Mass migration was not significant until the mid to late twentieth century and nothing close to what it is now until the Blair Labour government.
