In case of washed out colors: The Brightness test is kinda totally off.

So i was wondering why the game looks rather washed out in places.

After some pondering it occurred to me that i looked into everything but the Brightness test which is called IMAGE CALIBRATION under the Display Options.

So I fiddled with that while going through different areas of Hogwarts to consider different lighting conditions.

It turns out, by the time I can actually see (even barely) the symbol, the light is FAR to bright.

For me the perfect brightness is one third from the left side of the bar.
Suddenly everything had more depth due to shading and the colors were way more vibrant.
And that is WAY before I can even remotely see the symbol.

So if you feel the game looks washed out try that.

Thank you at least for the suggestion. I'll take a look, at the moment I can just see the image, and yes - it is still to bright.

Lol, turning down the brightness i can now actually see that there are things to see behind the windows.

so true! happened to me as well. turning up the brightness as suggested by the image calibrator resulted in a washed out game that looked like ps2

Of course. But what the game gave as guidance also wasn't good and lead to things like washed out colors and featureless white blinding squares for windows.
