The game DOES NOT EVEN START
Hi, my game does not start, there is no loading screen, nothing. I click on PLAY button and literaly nothing happens. Steam shows game as "running" but it is not. Task manager does not show it, There is no resource usage it just not run but steam says it is. I had restarted pc several times, got newest Nvidia drivers, newest win10 update, verified files of game twice, it still does not start at all. Please HELP. And yes my pc is strong enough to run it easy.

If you have any OC or undervolting on your CPU disable it for the first start. That first shader comp the game does stresses the CPU even more than Cinebench for some reason. Alternatively you can activate energy saving mode in windows only for the first time you load up the game. Works too.

Capping the max fps for the game at the amd adrenalin app worked for me! Saw it worked for Nvidia and tried myself

Dudes i have solved the problem!!!
Fix under point 4.

1. i looked at the Crash logs (located in C:\Users\"User"\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Crashes) with the Tool "WhoCrashed" - the Problem was the file named "ntdll.dll"

2. Searching for "ntdll.dll crash" there are many entries about this in relation to programs or windows itself

3. ntdll.dll must therefore be repaired. below I explain how. (whereby I must say that I had the luck that Windows seemed to need some updates that I had not made. maybe that helped too)
I looked in the folder c/Windows/System32 for the ntdll.dll file, via right click I could see the version number and found out that my file was not the latest. so I looked on the internet what to do...

4. what i found and did:
4.1. open cmd as administrator
4.2. type "sfc /scannow" - wait until it is done
4.3. enter "Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth".
4.4. restart Windows

5. (the next steps might have been lucky)
5.5. search for Windows updates
5.5.1 this was the quality update I could download: "January 19, 2023-KB5022476 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 21H2".
5.5.2 restart
5.5.3 windows automatically installed feature update for Windows 10, version 22H2
5.5.4 restart

6. saw if the game starts - and yes it starts.

I hope that I could help you with this.

I have the same issue. I tried every single solution I found in this forum and online, and nothing works.
Let's hope they release a fix soon or I will ask for a refund too.

I tried this once. However, a different file is reported as a problem. But I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the game. The file was found: dm9usb.sys
There is already a new version of this, which I got. But it's difficult to change it because it's in a folder that you can't access.

Especially as my system has now redone all the drivers again and the picture didn't even run any more. Until the epilepsy warning, then the soundtrack, but no more picture.

Same. Is there a solution to this that doesn't require me to be a computer engineer to workaround/fix????

For me it helped to reinstall the game

I can play it now too. However, only on the lowest settings. if i set even one setting to medium, the game crashes after a few minutes. although i can even partially meet the recommended system requirements.

Update !!!
I have been able to solve my problem. It was the working memory. I had 16 gb, which was the minimum requirement, but apparently not enough. I had now set everything to low for a short time and added another 16 gb via the virtual memory.
Then it would run smoothly.
I got my RAM yesterday. I added another 16 gb to the mainboard and lowered the VRAM again. Now the graphics settings all run on medium without crashing.

Try this. Solved my issue with starting problem:

Search for "Exploit protection" on Windows;
Go to Program Configuration;
Search for Hogwarts Legacy;
Remove;
Restart windows.
