What is ur ducking system specs?
Fix under point 4.
1. i looked at the Crash logs (located in C:\Users\"User"\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Crashes) with the Tool "WhoCrashed" - the Problem was the file named "ntdll.dll"
2. Searching for "ntdll.dll crash" there are many entries about this in relation to programs or windows itself
3. ntdll.dll must therefore be repaired. below I explain how. (whereby I must say that I had the luck that Windows seemed to need some updates that I had not made. maybe that helped too)
I looked in the folder c/Windows/System32 for the ntdll.dll file, via right click I could see the version number and found out that my file was not the latest. so I looked on the internet what to do...
4. what i found and did:
4.1. open cmd as administrator
4.2. type "sfc /scannow" - wait until it is done
4.3. enter "Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth".
4.4. restart Windows
5. (the next steps might have been lucky)
5.5. search for Windows updates
5.5.1 this was the quality update I could download: "January 19, 2023-KB5022476 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 21H2".
5.5.2 restart
5.5.3 windows automatically installed feature update for Windows 10, version 22H2
5.5.4 restart
6. saw if the game starts - and yes it starts.
I hope that I could help you with this.
Let's hope they release a fix soon or I will ask for a refund too.
I tried this once. However, a different file is reported as a problem. But I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the game. The file was found: dm9usb.sys
There is already a new version of this, which I got. But it's difficult to change it because it's in a folder that you can't access.
Especially as my system has now redone all the drivers again and the picture didn't even run any more. Until the epilepsy warning, then the soundtrack, but no more picture.
Same. Is there a solution to this that doesn't require me to be a computer engineer to workaround/fix????
I have been able to solve my problem. It was the working memory. I had 16 gb, which was the minimum requirement, but apparently not enough. I had now set everything to low for a short time and added another 16 gb via the virtual memory.
Then it would run smoothly.
I got my RAM yesterday. I added another 16 gb to the mainboard and lowered the VRAM again. Now the graphics settings all run on medium without crashing.
Search for "Exploit protection" on Windows;
Go to Program Configuration;
Search for Hogwarts Legacy;
Remove;
Restart windows.
