That's it, it just makes things worse. It kills franchises or at least their reputation (fantastic beasts, the last of us part 2, the last of us series episode 3, TWD seasons 9-11, etc etc, countless.

And it's not like they will make a good cover story or something to that, nope.
They HAVE TO put woke content inside the game/movie/series, just to HAVE IT. Plot is always boring, characters annoying (abby from TLoU, part 2 is the best example, how tf am I suppose to force myself to "open my mind" if they're making every single "gay/trans" character super annoying, total heel turn, walking evil, annoying clown. Prime Edge of the WWE, but even Edge was cool in his own way. Why every "woke" plot in games has to be "painfully stereotypical".

Every single show/game, where woke has appeared, went from 10/9 to 1/2/3, some say homophobic, I say "party yes", but mostly "yesn't". Why yesn't? Yes, because we are TIRED of it, like seriously, WOKE EVERYWHERE. it's not like I see woke couple every time I leave my house, even if I'm nerd. It's just not that "REGULAR and OBVIOUS THING" that can happen everyday in our lifes, like shows trying to tell us. It's not like every single one of us has trans/gay/etc neighbour next to our house/apartment.

You are trying to convince us all that this is most regular and ordinary thing on the world, nothing surprising. Well, it is surprising, stop acting like it's not. But most importantly, this is 95% boring, it's just because they need woke plot, nothing more, so they add it in minutes without any idea (this is most homophobic thing tbh, making poor story just to cover "woke spot" inside the product.) Let's take a look on movies with Tom Hanks - "Philadelphia", or legendary "Dog Day Afternoon" with Al Pacino. Gay characters (even main) doesn't mean boring movie, not at all, with good story they were even better. I can't imagine Sonny Wortzik being straight after seein this movie. This dude has to be gay, period. Aaron from TWD (before they broke series with total wokemaggeddon and boring plot) and one of the most important - PLATO from "Rebel without a case" with legendary JAMES DEAN.

DR. FRANK-N-FURTER - 'THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW', one of the first controversial movies with MAIN trans character (released 1975 !!!!).
To this day, many guys are calling this movie masterpiece, not because of trans character, but because of GOOD PLOT, music, actors. (it was KINDA like career suicide or TOTAL RISK back then in 1975 to make movie about trans/gay)

So please, dear devs, directors, writers...

STOP BLAMING PEOPLE FOR BEING HOMOPHOBIC, WHEN YOUR WRITING IS JUST PURE GARBAGE. It's not our fault that you can't sell your story, you can't even make it feel "real" or "logic" or "make sense at the end" at least vibe. You straight putting new characters out of nowhere, without strong past, personality, story, genesis, mystery, whatever, u make them gay/trans and that's it. Like this witch from Merlin's sidequests lane, she has extra dialogue lane, which adds nothing, but "hey, im woke" vibe. I don't care, it's okay, it doesn't even bother me. What's bother me is fact that if someone doesn't like it, because it makes no sense at all mostly and is just boring, not because someone is homophobic. And this is the worst part, devs are using it as a excuse to cover their poor, boring plots/decisions, so at the end of the day "If you don't like it, you're homophobic, we cancell you, don't play/watch it."

What if I want to play/watch? I always do, I just have to review product worse, or push myself to finish some sequences/stages/episodes/scenes.

This is shame.

I don't think I've seen anyone complain about the Last of Us writing, show or the second game, being poor. It's weird, I'll watch or play something, think it's pretty good, see that most people agree. Then find this weird population who get triggered at the fact that one of the characters wasn't straight or something. It seems to boil down to "woke" being an LGBTQ character being in a show and that being a problem for the type of person who keeps track.

Literally every job I've worked I've had a gay person in my department, last two companies had people transitioning in the organization. It's more normal and media reflects the new normal. No there wasn't, there was a relationship between the main character and another woman, which is part of the story. It all seemed pretty natural to me and not forced at all. The dude was mentioning Abby who is kinda buff for a chick but I didn't get any woke vibes from this so idk what you all are talking about. There's tons of stuff in the game and story that has very little to do with Ellie and her relationship, you know like most of the game other than the beginning which I'm starting to think either you or the poster ever got past the first 10 minutes of the game.

What does any of that have to do with "wokeness"? You simply didn't like that joel died and you didn't like the outcome of the story. The very VERY simple messages the story was trying to convey went right over your head or you just are mad bcuz "oh no muh main character died boo hoo story bad better blame it on some other completely unrelated part of the game".

I just don't like the plot, I finished the game twice, because of graphics, music, gameplay.

Chasing dad murderer is more important than gay/lesbian relationships. Period.
I know what ND is trying to do, make it feel more natural, real, beside the main plot/story we have characters with their routines, problems, fears, feelings. We have it all, all things that can create strong character with a lil bit of good writing.

The problem is there is no good writing.
We have main plot mixed with "sometimes I feel gay about it all, so maybe I will even ruin the ending for you, guys, shall I?"
