Can I change the type of wood of the wand that I already bought?

As far as I'm aware, no, the wand you are given, is the wand you'll have through the entire playthrough of the game, but this is also how the wizarding world is also, through lore of books and movies, the wand chooses you, so you can no longer use another type of wand, else it'd be underpowered otherwise

You can't change the wand's wood, shape, color, core or size after you picked it up at Hogsmeade. The only customization afterwards we get are wand grips/sleeves.

Ah okay, i was hoping would change the color of the magic and felt like i had chosen the wrong one, but its all fine then.

Choosing a your wand and House in the game is purely cosmetic, it just change a couple of superficial dialog with no impact at all to the gameplay.
