Falling through map bug

Anyone else falling through the map and dying or game freezes? I've fallen through the map once after using the Field Guide while in the castle and died instantly. Another time I was walking around outside the Greenhouses and fell into the map and kept falling. Couldn't pause or anything and had to force close the game.

Any other experiences from others?

falling into map when i loaded in to my last autosave in hogsmeade. no fix without a patch. tried it all.

Aww that sucks. Have you tried loading an earlier save? Maybe that may work but you may lose a little progress depending on the previous autosave/manual save

Same problem, can't get into the game, because the only save gets me always into falling into the void as well. I was at herbology :(
Only solution for the moment is start all over again T_T

Same for me. After loading the game I spawn in Hogsmeade where a building should be, clipping through the world. It's not possible to fast travel or go to menu at all. Very sad,... trying a reinstall now.

Thanks to some people on reddit, I found a workaround to get back into the game. Once you fell down through the map, you will be able to move again. Walk towards Hogwarts and once Hogwarts is above you walk east until the end of the map (might take around 20-25 minutes). At the end of the world you will respawn above water and fall towards the water. Don't worry about that, wizards can stand on water. Once you stand on the water you can fast travel to Hogwarts or any other destination and continue your journey. Have a nice day!

Cant you just pull out the broom when falling?

I jumped off a cliff and pulled it out mid air so it should work when falling under the map.

Unfortunately you're unable to pull out the broom while in this exceptional state of the game.

I have this problem as well. Somehow all my autosaves from today are from when i fell through the map, and I can't fast travel or get on my broom. My game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I'm not replaying a whole ass day of progress.

Thanks for the tip! This was helping since I couldn't use the menu or broom to get back to my last save point. Took some time as said but afterwards I could play the game again!

I have also the issue and the Solution doesn‘t work 😔 i am in the East, but i dont Fall and it Looks like, that the map move. I play on Switch, does anybody fix it also there?
