Can my PC run at 4k with high settings?
Hello friends, I have a Ryzen 7 5700G, GTX 3060 TI , 32gb ram, 1 TB ssd, 240hz 4k monitor.

Can I run it with high settings on 4k ? If not then I think i will buy it on XboX Series X instead so I can play the game in my bedroom TV

Well, there's also the supposed Day1 patch that may come later today that could change things a little for most people/some people.

So OP, you may want to ask again or at least browse the forums for any/all the "patch didn't do anything!" or "Patch improved greatly" threads in 24 hours.

sorry i meant rtx 3060 ti. i dont know much about computers, but i bought this one : https://www.komplett.no/product/1178892?noredirect=true#productinfo

that is my computer , but with 32gb ram instead of 16.

i bought the 4k 240hz monitor because it was on sale during black friday, i only had a 1080p monitor before that and it felt a bit awkward

i run new world, cyberpunk, doom eternal, elden ring, fallout 76, god of war ragnarok 2018 all in 4k with 60 fps so why shouldnt i have a 4k monitor?

and i do get 240 fps in some games such as league of legends , fortnite and overwatch 2 so the 240hz isnt completely useless, who are you to judge. hades run in 240+ fps too

theres alot of games i can get over 240 fps in which makes the monitor perfect

You got scammed big time lol. For that same amount of money you could easily get system with an RTX 3080, a faster CPU, faster RAM and and a good motherboard. Also you got scammed with the PSU, never cheap out on the PSU lol, 500w is a fraud even for a ♥♥♥♥ card like the 3060.

You have a 3060.. so no, unless u want to play with less than 30fps.

3060 ti. the TI version has around 15-20% increase in performance over the regular 3060.

i can play cyberpunk, new world and elden ring all on 60 fps in 4k with DLSS on, but i cant in hogwarts legacy?

i thought cyberpunk and elden ring was more demanding titles

No way lol Hogwarts is a lot more demanding than cyberpunk. Any big 2023 title will require you to have atleast a 3080 to run at 4K.

When the game is optimised and with DLSS on, maybe.
Until then, not a chance in hell.

then how can ps5 and xbox series x run hogwarts legacy in 60 fps 4k if my computer cant even tho my computer is alot more powerful then those consoles?

how does that even make sense. i literally seen youtube videos of ps5 and xbox series x running hogwarts at 4k 60 fps in performance mode

the 3080 10GB doesnt have enough VRAM for 4K high
without DLSS
according to the reviewer a GPU with at least 16GB is needed

It might be able to yes. Just make sure you turn OFF ray tracing entirely in-game. that's a massive resource hog.

Just ignore them. I agree this game is fps-wild and generally hard on systems but many underestimate what gpu's can do, especially with some DLSS help. Or their standards of what is "good" are more demanding. My understanding is your gpu is lesser than mine but not by leaps and bounds in most games so...

The upcoming patch claims optimizations, stutter/lag fixes, etc. So again, if you can, just wait and see what happens with that. If "everyone" is still hollering about their 4090's not getting 60fps then maybe choose console.

im so confused right now, i have cyberpunk on both xbox series x and my pc - my pc performance and graphics dwarfs that of my xbox series x in that game.

yet in hogwarts legacy it is the other way around, that xbox series x dwarfs my pc when running that game?

you people saying my xbox series x can get 60 fps in performance mode in 4k

and my computer only 20-30 fps in 4k with DLSS ?

like how can the xbox outpower my computer. perhaps the game is designed for xbox and ps5 then ported to pc and the port was bad or something?

well i guess i will buy it for console then if this is not a pc game

If I were the OP I would rather ignore you for spreading blatantly false information.
It’s out of question that a 3060ti can handle this game at 4K with high settings 60fps unless you’re ok if it runs like a slide show. The 3060 TI misses raw power and lacks Vram.
Even the 3080 can’t really handle this game due to lack of VRAM on a 4K resolution.

If you actually read the thread you'd see they then asked if it was possible at Medium settings and with some DLSS. Which is what I'm now referring to, when saying it's at least possible or maybe even probable, myself.

Mu understanding is that consoles are running the game with a lot more optimizations and compromises despite the supposed "4k" label. Can they/do they look pretty good, yes. But it's not the same under the hood so to speak. And while Cyberpunk is demanding, after many patches it's improved a lot since initial release. Cyberpunk mostly got big flak for the bugs/glitches/AI (on both console and PC) and extreme poor performance on last gen. consoles (shouldn't have been released on those, really).

I personally think Hogwarts just had a lot of optimization work that needed doing but early-release players got to play it before they did it. Take that with a grain of salt tho, sometimes even patches ... do not help much. lol
