So only way I can get mine to work on the main monitor is to disable the second display in windows, start the game, then re-enabling the second monitor. What an oof lol, also not completely related but it's getting tiring having games that have in game frame caps not having 100hz as an option.
Open GameUserSettings
Update the MonitorIdx value until it opens in the correct one for you.
Just started to have this issue a few days ago > this helped me.
You are a saint, my man. this fix works perfectly and I am amazed that someone figured this out. for those having issues finding this file path btw you can type %appdata% into your windows search and it will get you near the file path you need. this works perfectly though.
This worked perfectly. Thank you. I changed the ID from 1 to 2. My game was opening on 2nd monitor and I couldn't change it in game.
thank you so much! i only use two monitors, changed the value to:
MonitorIdx=1
instead of the default MonitorIdx=0
Works perfectly now and shows on my nice large monitor for gaming!
If others are working with 3 monitors, you may need MonitorIdx=2, add 1 per monitor you have i guess? depends on the order of displays
