I do find the character customization a little disappointing

Like, there are only preset faces to choose from,.and not even that many. You can change eyebrows as the only facial feature... Okay??

And then the voice 'pitch' changes are hilarious. it's just the same voice with some sort of artificial pitch altering effect. It's not actually a natural change of tone at all. How this got past QA is beyond me.

Im absolutelly disapointed by this.. like dragon age inquisition which came many years ago has way better character customisation, even oblivion has a better one lol :D you cant do anything here, just choose from presets and change hair and eye color. Hope the rest of the game will be better. I always love creating the most beautiful character in the game so im quite disapointed I will play as this ugly generic girl for the whole time :D

Because this is a easy cash grab game by WB. Like cyberpunk it has sold purely on brand recognition. they don't actually have to make the game good.

I have to admit the voice of the main character is pretty awful. It sounds artificial and I get to hear it every time I talk in game. Truly a terrible idea. I don't care so much that I can't create the ugliest human alive as I only look at the back of my head, but the voice? Please fix that, devs.

Was kind of a bummer the cosmetician at Hogsmeade doesn't have any more hair or color styles than character creation itself. Hoped for some of the NPC's. Like the long braided twintails of Prof. Garlick.

but so far it's been pretty good. This isn't a cash grab--they really spent time creating this world. Some things are odd, like the way everyone disappears at night and the way you can walk straight through most NPCs but haven't seen anything game-breaking... yet.

Yeah, i have chosen the deepest voice and i kinda regret it.
Sometimes it's fine,
Sometimes my character sounds kinda weird, like a chatbot.

Also, you can't change your wand after you've picked one. It's a stick, there is a stick store, i was hoping i could change my mind when i picked my stick. The stick i picked does not matches with the handles i have, the stick is brown and the handles are white. Had i'd known, i'd put more thought in the color of my stick.
And you can't change your skin colour for some reason, or your faceshape.
But changing your eyes color? Sure! no problem!

Let's leave the politics aside, why not just unlock the character editor? Its a world of magic, there are options to play as a transgender person ( which i don't mind, whatever i'm pro choise ), but those options are locked after you've started the game.

Wanna add a scar across your face? no problem! wanna change your face so that your nose is a bit bigger/smaller? nope.

I mean, its realistic, but come on. It's a magic world.
Heck, i want to be able to change my sex. I mean, why not? you get adressed as they/them anyway, and it's not like there are any romance options ( i think? and if there are, i'm sure you're gender does not matter, looking at the choises the devs made ), so why not?

I can go run around, looking like a knight clown lepricaun hybrid with pink hair yellow eyes and a goofy cape while sounding like autotune spongebob, yet changing my skin color is not possible.

I'm nitpicking though, i think the options we do have look good.
Heck, especially compared to darktide. Doesn't matter which face you pick in that game, at the end you kinda look like an ogre :D

give it time the modding scene will grant all your wishes and then some already some promising mods coming out and game hasnt even fully released yet im hoping for some dope stuff.
