Weird Echo when any character talks.
There is this weird echo when anyone talks. Ive looked in the audio settings there is no option to turn off/on a echo. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

I have this issue as well. NOT MY CHARACTERS VOICE PITCH, but the Npcs all around have echoes when they talk. It disappears if i turn on mono but i dont want to play a 2023 AAA game in mono xD Please help or fix <3
Go into Audio Settings in the game.
Reset it to default (manually adjusting the pitch slider, doesn't solve the issue - but resetting to default should).
Adjust whatever you want - but DON'T touch the pitch slider.
Everything should be fine after that.

Pretty sure this is how it sounds if you pick any other voice pitch than the default, unfortunately.

If you pitched the character's voice low or high, it'll sound metallic, that's actually on the game's end. Nothing you can do, not the only one with that issue, I've noticed this happens a lot too. Hopefully they'll look into it.

I've raised my pitch up a bit, it fixed it

The "middle" setting for the pitch seems to be the natural voice actors' voices. For me though, the guy sounds like he's 12... too high pitched, can't get into it (my natural voice is pretty low). So I tolerate the "tinny" sound.

There's just using a REALLY bad algorithm to autotune the voices up/down. Surprised this slipped through, there's better tools out there to do this.

I had spatial sound enabled in the Windows sound settings, thats what caused it for me

I turned off mono, adjusted the pitch a bit, and changed the audio settings to my headset. It helped.

Leave pitch at neutral, the voice modulation is a little messed up

This also fixed my problem. People are getting mixed issues between your main character voice and npcs voice. I had the latter issue with npcs echo voice. Especially at the start with professor Fig talking. Thank you Shirosibi, by turning off the spatial sound (had Dolby Atmos selected), the echos are gone. Not sure if it affects anything else not related to this game though.
