Game does look a bit washed out, but I don't mind it tbh.
Nice to know
What I did is:
- I enabled HDR on Windows which looks terrible.
- Then I went in-game and enabled HDR. It looked even worse.
- Now I Alt-Tab'ed and disabled the HDR from Windows BUT I left the HDR "On" in-game.
- Somehow, everything now looks vibrant and colorful, and that weird "mist" effect is gone. Note: It is not actual mist as it is EVERYWHERE. Indoors and outdoors. It's just a weird lighting effect.
- I can even change White Brightness, the Black Point under "Image Calibration" in-game.
I have no clue how this works. Downside is you have to do this every time you launch the game.
Lol this work around is a broken way to make the game look as if it should. Had to give it a shot, holy smokes, after adjusting the HDR brightness the game looks rich and vibrant.
Thanks for sharing you brilliant person!
I thought the game looked washed out on mine and my wife's displays. Which is weird, because usually hers is a little more saturated since mine is more true to the intended color.
Glad it helped you out. It really does make the game look normal. I'd be interested to learn why and how this works, if someone knows.
