Every time although it seems to get faster, or at least it has for me. Only takes a few seconds now.

Yep. Unlucky for people, who suffer from crashes. But since i start the game and play for 6 hours nonstop, i dont really care that much.

I had an initial 1-2 minute shader compilation delay when I first loaded this game up on my i5-13600KF system but since then, even after installing the new 528.49 driver from NVIDIA for my RTX 3080, the game has only had a 10-20 second shader delay, where I think it is just checking and updating the shaders.

Normally, when you update to a new graphics driver then the shaders have to be completely recompiled but that doesn't happen here (thankfully... even 10-20 seconds feels like an eternity to wait these days... and, yes, I am someone who grew up with 10-20 minute loading times from cassettes on a Commodore 64 tape deck!). I guess I have become spoilt by console and PC SSD loading times...

Exactly, first one is long, all other 10-20 sec. But I must say, after NVIDIA driver update, it is very common to have few minutes black screen, where the shaders loading would be (there is many threads about it)

Yep i have this too but the game runs fine for me sometimes a little stutter but that's all
Shihimase Feb 9, 2023 @ 7:36am
Same here, but it is just 30 seconds so I don't care.

i see, okay i'm just glad to hear i'm not the only one, it is indeed short-ish like you guys said about 20-30 sec, still though kinda grrr it does it every time xD

Yes, that's freaking annoying. Thankfully, the other times after the first don't take as much time.

Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg and my arm... even my fingers... the body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting. It's like they're all still there. You feel it too, don't you?
Same issue

Dont use this, you will likely stutter even more lmao. You have to prepare it for a reason.
I think they should have some how saved it once you prepared it once, but if you dont let this load, you will have a worse time or likely would. For some it might not be an issue.

The first time is to compile the shaders, which takes a long time. The rest of the time is to check and load the shaders which takes seconds, but they didn't bother updating the ui.
