I Lost My Save

Guys help me, I just lost my save with more than 10 hours played, I spent the whole day playing, after a power outage I lost my save even though it was saved in the cloud, does anyone know how to solve it for the love of god ??

same, game crashes, I relaunch and the game has to go through the initial configuration again and i have to create a new player :( this blows.

I played for a little over an hour and it saved, I can see the game, but it won't let me log back into the last save point.

I will try to get in touch with steam support and with the game creator herself, any news I will let you know, honestly this made me very sad

I just find the way how to solve it.
1. Go to the C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy
2. Copy the "Saved" folder somewhere
3. Turn off Steam Cloud Saves
4. Launch the game and create new character, it will create new saves
5. Right after that again go to the C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy and find saves with new character
6. Open your old saves, sort files by date (from last) and open files one by one. You should find LAST save files in which first line started with GVAS (or smth not empty or nul)
7. Just took that file, rename it to the filename from step 5, place to the saves directory and launch the game
8. It should help! I hope so)

well I found some old save files but I didn't understand this part of renaming the files, here are some files written HL-00-00 sav how do I replace the current one?

Just rename your HL-00-00 to match the save filename from the new character and put it in the new character save location

it didn't work unfortunately, I have the old saves here but when I replace nothing happens

Just try to start playing. First time the "new" character will be displayed, but the old saves should load. At least, that how it worked in my case

IT WORKED MAN IT REALLY WORKED I love you man you just saved my day I will be forever grateful to you, after replacing the game files I continued to play and the game loaded the old save

i dont have the HL-00-00 on my backup only the savedgameslist.sav when i open that one it has all my information for my old character on the notepad what do you do with this once you have new save do you rename the savedgameslist.sav file?

Man I would be fuming, I have 19 hours sunk in atm . . . glad that it seems someone helped you fix it though.
