keep getting stuck at ravenclaw common room (telescope)

I keep getting stuck in the ravenclaw common room right after introducing myself Amit.
When he leaves I can't go anywhere and keep stuck at the telescope? anyone else having this issue?

Well...I don't know what's going on. I seemed to have surmounted that difficulty. So don't ask. I see by other comments that my new problem is quite common. The game crashes at inopportune moments, & there's no guessing when that will happen during play. Frustrating? Oh yeah!

The only thing that worked for me was to shut down the game, log out of my account, and relaunch the game. Cumbersome? Yes. But at least it worked.

I've got the same problem. Everytime I reload the save (or all the five autosaves that have been created in the Ravenclaw Common Room for no reason) I am back in the bedroom and have to introduce myself again, getting invariably stuck behind the invisible wall in the corner next to Amit.

I don't want to play through that lengthy intro again just to try with a new character and maybe a different house. This is frustrating.
