Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy

Vezi statistici:
Worst FPS drops completely unplayable
I have an Intel Core i7-10700K, RTX 3080, 16 GB RAM and I can't even play the game on lowest settings because of the insane FPS drops for no apparant reason. I've tried every fix I've seen online, updating drivers, updating windows, veryifying integrity of the game files, turning off ray tracing, vsync and motion blur and literally ANYTHING else thats been recommended by most people on reddit and steam. Any other ideas that aren't floating around?

Game ran completely fine on max settings for the first two hours or so.

I have the same Cpu but 32GB ram and 3060Ti. Yesterday it was completely fine, today - unplayable and DLSS not helping at all.
Yea thats so weird? Why would it have been fine for us yesterday but not today it makes no sense
Nvidia just pushed new beta drivers. Are you setup to automatically install them?

I can't play with resolutions so high, i want change resolution 1920 x 1200 with full screen 😭
You need to change display settings in nvidia control panel, or tell the game to "Render" at 1920x1200. Im not sure why this games settings regarding these controls are different from any other game, with no option for regular fullscreen...

I have RTX 3070, but the FPS DROP is unreal. I am running the game on HIGH (Recommendation). I meet the requirements for this game, but why I am having this FPS drop. Seriously, It is sickening to see games nowadays is not optimized well. Please optimize this game, as much as I love this game (not a fan of Harry Potter series). It's hard to appreciate how good the game is, when you are having fps drop often! :steamfacepalm:

DISABLE RAY TRACING!!

I disabled ray tracing, Changed Draw distance and post processing quality from ultra to high and it completely smoothed out my experience.

Im on a i5 10600k 32gb ram, and RTX 3080 10gb. I play in native 4k, NO DLSS and its so much smoother, and lacks the serious stutters and frame drops. Occasionally it gets slightly choppy like playing at 40fps, but NOWHERE as bad as it was. It was unplayable for me even with DLSS performance. literally rendering at 1080p... no thanks.
why u always lying
Lying about what? This is what mostly fixed MY severe frame drops. I tried all kinds of stuff.

The game has some glitch or error in its coding that causes the issue. This is verified by going into the menu, letting the stuttering subside, then backing back out into the game, which is then immediately smooth, until you run into another area and it stutters again. Its like the GPU is bogged down loading stuff but then when its done cant catch up, until you open the menu and allow it to "catch up". Im no GPU hardware/software expert, but thats what it seems like.

Deleting config is a game changer. WTF trickery is this?! Game ran like crap on 3080, now flies...
What helped for me now is the following:

I noticed that playing on my 2nd monitor (1080p; main one is 1440p) fixed it.

I can constantly play the game with minimal dips at 60fps.
Switched back to my main screen and changed the frequency to 60hz (down from 144) and tried it out as well.

Surprisingly it worked.

On the old screen I can now run it on Ultra and on the main screen I switched to High settings.

There are still minor dips

Upscaling set to None (running native at 1440p)
60fps cap (vsync on)
AA = Nvidia DSS
Reflex Low Frequency = On + Boost

Even though running at 60fps looks way to choppy and not smooth as compared to playing with 144hz, but at least I can get stable framerate now, until some better optimization has been done/new driver published.

I hope it stays like this for now

In any case, maybe this helps someone out there

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor (3.80 GHz)
32GB Ram
3070 RTX

Try minimizing camera acceleration and maximize camera sensitivity

For some reason, either this or the config delete worked, thanks so much, take an award or two :)
Postat inițial de Fragile:
The main reason for the stuttering in the game is that the GPU cannot reach full power/usage. It has constant ups and downs, which makes the game unplayable.

So what's the fix for this specific issue?

16gb of ram is not good enough for most games these days. This is part of your issue. 32gb is the standard minimum.
You dont know what you are talking about. The PS5 plays this game in 4K with 16GB.

You clearly don't understand what's happening behind the scenes. It isn't playing the game on max settings in 4k with 16gb its got lower settings and upscaling running. We are talking about PC anyway... 4k ultra has a 32gb minimum. If you run it on lower settings and lower resolution you can get by with 16gb but 16gb is below the minimum for most games wanting to run on the highest settings. End of story.. If you aren't rocking atleast 32gb you are behind the times right now.

Apparently for GTX user doesn't have a problem. My brother has GTX 1660 SUPER and the game runs very smooth, no fps drop and stable at 60 FPS! While on the other hand I am playing Hogwarts with GPU RTX 3070 and having FPS DROP to 40-60, which is often. When outside the castle I am having constant 40 FPS.

It seems that RTX user having this problem. NVDIA needs to sort this out, and ofc developer needs to optimized the game with RTX user. Clearly this is not normal. 💔

I have a 3080 too I just found a way to smooth out my hogmead spikes https://steamcommunity.com/app/990080/discussions/0/3761104682801635428/

Make sure you turn off reflex low latency. You can then use nvidia profile inspector to increase the pre-rendered frames.. adds some lag but the spikes aren't so harsh

I have a NVIDIA 2070 super, 16gbRAM and i5 intel processor.

I am not expecting a huge graphics or anything, but somehow it's super poorly rendered.

Poor renderization and graphic not loading 1= https://ibb.co/Fxnnx69
Poor renderization and graphic not loading2= https://ibb.co/YBspkJ3

Can someone help me to fix it. PLEASEE
