The game still works for me, some stuttering in some cutscenes, but the very low GPU usage is very strange indeed. Would be nice if someone knows what we can do/how to fix it so I can possibly play with higher settings
My game havn't crashed (yet), even with alt tabbing. Just a lot of stuttering after hogsmede. Temps seems fine too, gonna check them with HWmonitor today, but don't even think my GPU fan is spinning from what I can hear.
I wouldn't waste too much time on it though, there's a patch scheduled for day 1 (which I assume will be released on friday) with the following:
* Fixes to game crashing issues.
* Address the stuttering and lag issues.
* Add gameplay adjustments and optimizations.
* Add general stability fixes.
* Add performance improvements.
* Other minor fixes.
Not sure if I can post links here or not, but just google day 1 hogwarts patch and you'll find info about it on several websites.
For now I will just keep my settings on the lower side and wait for the patch on friday.
I could inflate the usage by removing my 75 fps cap, but running through the castle and hitting a 40-50 fps drop isn’t how I want to play it
try different monitoring program
The game is playable but the day 1 patch should address this issue.
Seeing between 40 and 60 fps out in the world no matter the graphics settings. Haven't checked ram but I have a 3090 and 32 gigs of system memory so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm monitoring it using nvidia's overlay.
All settings are maxed out. I tried turning raytracing to low and there was no difference in gpu usage.
I have noticed when I open the book in the escape menu it cranks up to 65% usage and I get blasted with frames, around 200+. So I think the issue may be an optimization thing? Not entirely sure at this point.
This is really frustrating and I wish that they will patch it soon.

day 1 patch out for me. showing 60% + cpu usage and gpu usage as low as 38% but never above 60% too often. seems the patch didn't do much. tried adjusting settings, same place i was before the patch. wondering if nvidia will release a new driver for this game sometime soon?
hope this helps someone else!
