I can’t manually save the game

My game stopped auto saving on my PC on February 8, 2023 at 12:57 AM (the game was auto saving every 3 minutes prior to this point). I can’t manually save the game either. It’s 02:18 EST (U.S.A.) and I’ve waited to see if it was a server maintenance issue, but I still can’t manually save the game. My internet connection works fine on other apps. Save Game option gives me this message: “Manual saving is currently unavailable. Auto saves may still be performed during this time.” Anyone else having this issue?

Yep, I have the same and its not autosaving either, so now I have lost about 40 mins gametime twice now, so gonna leave it now until tomorrow

You don't need an internet connection for this.

There's parts of the game where you cannot manually save. Like some parts of quests, some areas where stuff might be happening. Or maybe a bug, which I'm sure is going to get fixed.

having an autosave issue for sure, lost 2 hrs cause i didnt manual save :(

my problem was the date and time if my computer was behind my steam deck so it wouldnt autosave again sine it wasnt the "newest" date. i made both times correct and it fixed my save issue

It definitely seems like it’s a bug in Steam’s ability to synch the game’s save files to its servers.

From what I’ve read on newer posts, it seems that steam is having issues with save files becoming lost in their servers with inaccurate file names, or duplicate names, or incorrect time and date stamps.

Some manual fixes seem to work if you go into your save game files and adjust time and date stamps, or if you save your old file to your desktop, then delete the old save game file, and then restart the game and then that then seems to fix the synching issue by “tricking” the Steam server into downloading the latest—and correct—game file.

Also, if you have an incomplete tracked quest, (Such as the Broom Race against the clock, which messed me up) completing or abandoning the quest will allow you to Save again.
