Why is Slytherin so nice?
Just saying.. I get wanting to pander to little kids, and keeping it somewhat kid friendly, but.. you can still make Slytherin students more prickly, and stand offish like they should be.

I mean seriously.. Slytherin is more Hufflepuff than Hufflepuff is in this game lol..

ALso I ended up following the Slytherin kid around because he was just more approachable and nice than the Gryffindor chick... I mean.. really? lol....

Besides that, and the Three Broomsticks lady sounding like a 25 year old man for no reason what so ever that makes logical sense. Really enjoying the immersion.

If you were a parent would you want your kid to learn from that and become prickly?

They tried to balance things up (no evil school)
I get why, but that's a big departure from the books.

Maybe it's a Mighty Duck's situation where in the movie they're the good guys but in the new Disney+ show they're jerks.
Snek house hasn't turned heel yet. :balloonicorn:

Cause they don't necessarily represent evil. On the contrary I think the headmaster is a Slytherin and the worst headmaster from it's history.

Merlin was Slytherin, they aren't evil just ambitious

Did you not meet Imelda ? I'd say she's a toned-down Draco but supposedly with some actual skill. A Ravenclaw student mentions how said-Slytherin is bullying her and recruits you to help (side quest)

it's not because you are slytherin that you are always a douche, and it's not because they are protrayed as douche in Harry potter that every slytherin is.

each house represents a way of thinking pretty much, Slytherin is just a place for people that are cunning, have ambitions and seek power.

does is proportionally has more C-U-N-T than other house, sure, that's because people in search of power and have ambition will tend to be ... but not all.

just like you could very well find A-OLE in gryphindor. for instance, by Severus Snape standards, Harry's Father was a bully.

HufflePuff is like ... the people usually good at heart, which is why it's the house with the lowest wizard turned dark, and slytherin the higest, but that means even the righteous gryphindor produce dark wizards.

the House you end up with is just to put likeminded people with similar aspiration together. technically makes it easier to have camaraderie as well.

Slytherin are the good guys. Your perception of them is warped due to those spoiled little A holes in Gryffindor and that pos Harry Potter. I tell you what if it weren't for that no good Harry Potter the world would be much better place with wizards out helping all people but those evil kids messed it all up. Those books he wrote are all lies, Malfoy was a Saint.

seriously tho majority of Slytherin students are completely normal, they aren't all dark wizards waiting to murder all mudbloods. If they were all evil I doubt they would just be hanging out attending school with all the other kids.

Well, since Griffindors are like Slytherins, only stupidly brave and with fair share of idiots who doesn't use brain (see Potter), often arrogant and bullies (just look on Fred and George, they are basically sociopaths, they bullied first years, experimented on younger students, killed Ron's pet without remorse and caused him arachnophobia, and then even joked about it)... then you have Marauders, also deeply stupid, arrogant and bullying others... it kind of makes a sense that Griffindor girl is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥. She's got it in her veins. On the other hand, you have children, also often arrogant but not everyone, who tend to think before act, with great ambition and purpose in life, and since they are ostracised and bullied since childhood by idiots like Weasleys, they tend to trust only fellow Slytherins or stay alone. Not everyone is Malfoy or future dark wizard. Also, I find Griffindors much worse. They are not dark magic obsessed monsters by default, rather they are curious and ambitious by default, so they have an urge to study all aspects of magic, and to dislike or hate others they learn during their studies, because whole school make them believe they don't belong among the rest. Maybe with the exception of Ravenclaws, they are too clever for it.
If you wanna see "true" Slytherin, forget Malfoy or Voldemort and look at Slughorn.
