Temporary PC Performance Issue Fix!
There are plenty to be upset about in regards to the performance on pc, however, there is a workaround for the time being and that is with the dlss file. Currently the game is set with the version 2.3, whereas the current version is 2.5. To fix this, you just simply need to replace that file with the newer version:
- Navigate to https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll
- Download the 2.5.1 zip.
- Unzip
- Copy the nvngx_dlss.dll
- Locate the nvngx_dlss.dll in the Hogwarts game directory. EX: E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\DLSS\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64
- Replace the file there with the newer version
- That's it!

Try the game again and see if that works for ya. It helped my frames immensely. Hope it does the same for you all

I'm not having major issues, but I am curious. Are you using the 2.5 file or the 2.5.1 file?

This improved performance and improved image quality. It also mostly eliminated frame drops during cut scenes.

Interesting. The game standart graphical settings for my rig is everything on Ultra with DLSS on performance and RTX off.
In hogwarts i get frame dips to around 50. And in the first town you visit as well.
I think i will give this tomorrow a shot and see if it works out for me or not.
Thanks for sharing this performance issue fix Thane.

Just download DLSS Swapper already.

Does this even matter if you aren't using DLSS or haven't got a RTX GPU?

Game was running fine, but seems it running better with the newer version.
