Bug in switch controller settings

When activating magic while holding down ZR on the switch controller, the A and B buttons and the X and Y buttons are reversed in the notation and the actual buttons to be pressed, respectively.

I also have this issue, glad at least to know i am not the only one... I am actually going insane over it. Either I am confused during combat or all the button prompts in menus/overworld get messed up (if I fix the spell UI)

Same issue here. UI button labels are all correct on default switch controller configs... except while holding Zr for the casting menu. A and B are reversed, as well as X and Y.

This is probably already known, but just adding it to the pile. Excelsior!

this is a common problem that happen to many games... not sure if this is the game dev problem or steam problem...

i got so annoyed by this problem while playing this game that i break down and brought an xbox controller.

It's very strange because I played this close to launch and it has no issue! I opened it like a month or so later and it was messed up. Very strange. I fixed it but I haven't been able to fix the a/b confirm back issue but I can work with that.

Same here, launched the game this weekend and all the buttons are messed up. It was fine on release.
Guess I'll try using "BetterJoy" to trick the game to think that I am using an Xbox pad, but I wish this was fixed naively.

I am struggling to play this game and enjoy it because of how the buttons are inverted. I've tried editing them in controller settings to no avail. Anyone know if there is a way to fix this or if a patch is in the works? It's ruining the game for me. :(
