Hogwarts Legacy is MUCH shorter than people were thinking
According to Powerpyx, Hogwarts Legacy Story Length is:

Story Difficulty / Easy Difficulty = 15-20 Hours
Normal Difficulty = 20-25 Hours
Hard Difficulty = 25 Hours

Quite disappointing, isn't it? They were telling us about at least 40h for the storyline and over 100 to 100% but it seems you can 100% this game in under 60h.

this isnt surprising. i mean given the trailer we all saw i assumed it would be a relatively short game.

i mean they probably didnt want to invest too much into it in case the woke mob succeeded in destroying this woke game before it came out.

Ironic, isnt it?

Still had hope that this game is for more than just a few evenings lol.

Everyone has his own rhythm of playing. They said the same thing about Cyberpunk, Days Gone, and many other games, that you can beat the story in 25-35 hours. And there I am, enjoying 140+ hours until I finished those games (and NOT as completionist; far from it).
So I really won't jump to conclusions about this game either. I'll just wait and see, and complain afterwards if that will be the case...

Yea, sure. And Fallout 4 can be beat in under 2 hours too. Pretty sure there's more content than you're giving the game credit for having. 20+ Hours if you just grind the main story? Ok. Now, how many hours of side material/optional material is there? How many DLC to come and their size? Let me guess, you don't like the author of the books either.

If you're in to enjoy the game then no, it isn't that short. Check, for example,
RetroRaconteur's coverage. He's 20 hours in and he's just did the first ancient magic hotspot, out of 20 in the game. And still not even scraped the surface of Room of reqirement. So, all-in-all, depends how fast will you approach things, I'll take my sweet time hehe

If you want to just rush the story that's probably alright as well, but i'd explore the game as much as possible, as it was a long time wait :)

Good for you lol

That's if you just play the main story and don't do the side missions.

25 hours for main story is good. I hope the side quests will be at least the same length. 50 hours as a total isn't bad

im pretty short to 5'5"
Dax_B Feb 7, 2023 @ 6:19am
It's easily a 70 hour (on average) length game if you try and get 100% completion.

That's not good enough? Maybe try to play a game and not speedrun... I'm praying the game is better than my current expectations, considering gaming the past decade + has been ass.. If sales are good, I would expect the sequel (if we get any) to be longer, and obviously better. :RuneScapeguy:

Sure you can blitz through the main story alone in that time.
Doing nothing else and being hyper focused on the next goal.
But why would you play it that way?

speed runners complaining about games being too short lol doesnt know the meaning of side quests
