Denuvo DRM Discussion
Open discussion of Denuvo DRM

Please post below you thought's and comments of WB/Avalanche's choice of using Denuvo DRM as a way to prevent cheating/hacking/exploits

I've read online that Denuvo is known to draw more resources from the cpu, is this correct?

it sucks and it only hampers the legit buyers, pirates circumvent it.

Ho ♥♥♥♥, pls no Denuvo
denuvo and its devs are proof that we need a new crash.

Well, I hope they get rid of it when it will be cracked anyways.
And the idea of preventing cheating/exploit in a solo game sound just dumb to me

Also to add, apparently Denuvo is know to cause burn out of SSD's due to the amount of resources it pulls from the cpu. I'd like to see some hard evidence to back up these statements. Capcom also ran the same DRM and on top of that they created their own, according to online sources this caused the lifespan of SSD's to drop due to burn out.

Meanwhile le me:
Nvidia 3080ti 16gb ram
i7 12700k
32gb DDR4
This isn't about "GeT A BeTtEr pC BrO" considering the jump from listing a GTX 1060(min sys req's) to now listing a RTX 3090(4k) for Ultra.

You can't tell me that Denuvo isn't impacting overall system requirement's

your pc will only use your HD or SSD as ram if you run out of it. have 32gygs of ram, denuvo will never be able to access it, or disable it in windows, or put it on a slow / older drive. if you run out of ram, your pc will not perform anyway. no use to burn your ssd for it. <- burning an ssd is completely on yourself if you don't know how to setup your system.

Denuvo is only a problem for people too poor to buy the game so have to pirate it or people with potato computers.

We'll have to agree to disagree considering what I've been reading online in multple forums, just not the official WB forums as there is a lot of Mod censorship happeing. Something is definitely going on with the Denuvo DRM.

I'm not saying there is nothing going on, but what I say is how a pc works. people should learn how to reset your ram, take it out for a minute for all I care. but I don't care about people whining destroying their system if they don't know how to set it up in the first place.

we'll see, but my guess is still, people have a lack of ram, and the game + denuvo just takes too much of it, and than it will start swapping insane amounts of data on the ssd.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna be keeping a close eye on this one. Don't get me wrong, I want to buy the game but I'll hold off until reviews start coming through RE: performance.
