Heard Hogwarts Legacy have transgender included now. Is that true?

Got curious because of several posts mentioning it. Been following the games' direction since its development got announced. Was really disappointed for the game not including any form of coop or multiplayer, would have loved to play this game together with my wife. We had hopes for a change in terms of the addition of any kind of multiplayer so I tracked forums, reddit, etc. Yet, something completely unrelated to multiplayer got added instead. Completely...

Several generations grew up with Harry Potter. If it wasn't for the books, then people grew fans with the IP by watching the movies. Kids growing up to become mighty wizards and witches. Becoming either the good or the bad ones. Romances always got that innocent touch fitting just right to the age of the characters. Nothing overtuned, nothing perverted, nothing over the top, nothing like in Game of Thrones or anything else in the modern day.

Now there seemed to be some kind of internet campaign directed towards and against J.K. Rowling. Not everyone has to accept or like what happens in the world or who prefers what in their bedroom. Yet, this LGBTQ+ community looks like they started this mess of a bullying campaign towards J.K. Rowling, the developers of this game, and even directed at fans not being part of their sexual community just for not sharing the same view. Going a step further and trying to boycott everything that has J.K.'s name or made up fantasy IP on it, while also "forcing sexual acceptance" everywhere.

This game is rated for the age of 12. Kids in this age are still in their growing up phase with sexuality not being a thing. Not even able to understand. Sexuality in a game made for kids in the first place!

In all honesty... With all due respect... WTF and just WHY does any kind of sexuality have to be added in a game that was always doing just fine without all that modern political "forcing acceptence" propaganda bs? I was never homophobic or transphobic or racist or whatever else there is. I always had just as much respect for you as for anyone else who was viewed at as a "normal" person in their culture and country. But this got out of hand with me slowly growing angry about those of you who think you just have to change people's mind by FORCE.

Bullying, forcing, insulting, and what not is not the way to grow acceptance! Thats how you grow hate. This is not a defensive way. This is aggression. This is not rightous. This is bad. This is not tolerance. This is ignorance. This is not a game. This has become a sexual and political tool. What was once a good part in the childhoods of us in the past, you turn into something really bitter, hateful, and to avoid for those kids in the present who just want to be a mage in a fantasy world. Speaking about kids here, that don't even understand any sexuality or politics related stuff in the first place. Adults, that don't want to have anything to do with all of this. And fans, that don't want to have their IP ruined by anything and anyone who tries to reinvent the wheel.

Me and my wife were really hyped for this game. For everything that made everything around Harry Potter that wonderful fantasy world we grew up with. But everyone involved, starting from the inventor, the developers of the game, and even the fans themselves turned into victims of a perverted political extortion campaign. We always have respect for everyone in the LGBTQ+ communities. What you are doing here though got out of control.

So gender identity and sexuality aren't the same thing. There's no romance whatsoever in the game, so don't worry about the sexuality angle.

With regards to gender, there's a singular character who's vaguely transgender (an adult), and your character can be transgender if and only if you so choose. Other than that, it's completely absent.

To wizards "pure blood" has nothing to do with physiology. It's all about magical ability. Basically wizards discriminate, but they do so based on entirely different criteria than muggles do. It's the same reason race isn't really considered. To a wizard, your race is pureblood, muggle-born, mixed, or muggle.

Haven't played the game, but having a trans character isn't inherently indicative of any sexuality, merely suggesting that the character in question identifies as the opposite gender, so that's already a poor point in itself. Would it perhaps be a bit odd to have a trans character in the 1800's? Probably, yeah, though it *is* worth mentioning this is a fictional game, within a fictional world, which doesn't exactly have to abide by realistic standards, even which most games that attempt to do so end up breaking in one fashion or another either to improve the experience, or simply for the developers own reasons.

As for the wizarding world and its acceptance of races, sexuality, and other such things, there isn't much to really suggest they're overly racist in the traditional sense, rather the only real shown forms of racism are related to species (goblins, elves, centaurs, etc), and muggles or non-magic users, which in itself is a divisive topic quite clearly within the wizarding world. I don't think I can recall anything suggesting, for example, that people would be overly dismissive of non caucasian people's within the books or films, and while it was obviously a more prevalent social theme during the 1800's, it might simply not be one the wizarding world itself ever cared for, or has concerned themselves with, instead choosing to focus on the different between pure blooded wizards/witches, and those that are of a muggle descent, viewing the former as inherently superior.

All this to say, its difficult to assert that they'd choose to exclude said people's, whether gay or trans or minority in this setting due to the wizarding world itself being caught up in its own social issues and politics.

The world has done unspeakable things to transgender folks.
