The LGBTQ+ community has done the worst kind of things with words towards J.K. Rowling, the devs and I don't wanna know how many lesser known people also became a victim of death threats and the like. I have stated several times now what my point of view is. And you still dare speaking of guilt regarding my beliefs.
Your selfmade facts about me are nothing I care debating about once more. Its not me who plays a role here. Truth is what plays a role. One truth: That no kind of sexuality belongs into a game made for 12 year old kids. LGBTQ ideology is no exeption. Transgender. A sexual view. A lifestyle. An unstable one at that. Sometimes impossible to understand for the transgender himself. You do you. I do mine. But Kids deserve better. Kids deserve to have a childhood. A childhood free of oversexualized stuff. Free of your sexuality. Free of mine. Kids are not the ones who care about representation. The LGBTQ+ faction does. The question here is, why is that? The answer is: Because of a vendetta against J.K. Rowling! This fight is fought on the backs of our kids. No ideology, no fact, no reason, can ever justify this hateful and heartless move.
You wanna fight for trans rights? For representation? How about not using a video game made for 12 year old kids as a tool to achieve this. How about accepting that there are more and more lines getting crossed the more days that pass.
With regards to gender, there's a singular character who's vaguely transgender (an adult), and your character can be transgender if and only if you so choose. Other than that, it's completely absent.
Erm, I doubt that's the reason for the name. Sirona is a goddess in Irish Pagan mythology.
And no clues why people thought this game was not having some political agenda mixed in it.
All the twitter posts were about J.K.Rowling and HER opinions, not the developers, the game and co.
And honestly, it's weird seeing all those weird characters with their... weird acceptance towards sexuality. I don't think the wizard world was as strict as the world of muggles, but still really unwelcome towards many groups (especially considering the time this game plays in).
Hell: just the thought of pure blood being important makes me doubt they would support rainbow people even in the future/in todays times.
To wizards "pure blood" has nothing to do with physiology. It's all about magical ability. Basically wizards discriminate, but they do so based on entirely different criteria than muggles do. It's the same reason race isn't really considered. To a wizard, your race is pureblood, muggle-born, mixed, or muggle.
As for the wizarding world and its acceptance of races, sexuality, and other such things, there isn't much to really suggest they're overly racist in the traditional sense, rather the only real shown forms of racism are related to species (goblins, elves, centaurs, etc), and muggles or non-magic users, which in itself is a divisive topic quite clearly within the wizarding world. I don't think I can recall anything suggesting, for example, that people would be overly dismissive of non caucasian people's within the books or films, and while it was obviously a more prevalent social theme during the 1800's, it might simply not be one the wizarding world itself ever cared for, or has concerned themselves with, instead choosing to focus on the different between pure blooded wizards/witches, and those that are of a muggle descent, viewing the former as inherently superior.
All this to say, its difficult to assert that they'd choose to exclude said people's, whether gay or trans or minority in this setting due to the wizarding world itself being caught up in its own social issues and politics.
If there was ever someone gaslighting anyone in this thread, your comment here is a shining example filled with insinuations and your personal belief, not fact.
The world has done unspeakable things to transgender folks. Your self made facts are devoid of accepting that you and others hear demonize transgender folks for the actions of a few but dont hold those same standards against folks like yourself who are part of large groups of people that do other harmful stuff.
Saying some folks threatened jk rowling so all transgender folks are evil is completely obsurd. There is no sexuality here, there is only gender acceptance and inclusion. The only problem here is how you feel that is a bad thing and you will have to figure that out on your own. Thats a YOU problem.
imagine being upset at a video game because one npc is trans gender, good grief man, you need to go take a breath of air.
Why are you replying to me, you dont exsist.
Why are you replying in a matrix that doesnt exist?
You will never be a Dolphin.
ok, i guess. Ill tell you what, since your fragile ego clearly needs to have the last comment no matter how useless it is, ill let you have that. Enjoy your victory, i guess??
It should at least help you sleep better tonight.
