In-game store?
Was just about to buy the game when I heard in a review that early review copies didnt have access to the in-game store since it's not finished or whatever. This is a massive big red flag for me, no single player game needs in-game stores that you spend real money for, so I was wondering if anybody had an idea of what exactly that is going to look like, are they hogging a lot of customisation options for the final game behind paywalls?

It's a single player game. You don't need to play it on day 1, 2 4 or 10.

Wait 2 or 3 weeks and see what the reviews say, work on your pile of shame until then.
It's what I'm doing. If the in-game shop is too predatory I'll just wait out the GOTY version or whatever.

Q: Are there micro-transactions in Hogwarts Legacy?
A: There are no micro-transactions in Hogwarts Legacy.
Q: Can players make in-game purchases in Hogwarts Legacy?
A: Players with the Hogwarts Legacy Standard Edition can purchase the Dark Arts Pack in-game separately, which is otherwise available exclusively in the Deluxe Edition. There are no other items for purchase in the game.

Yes for the price of $20 you can have Akimbos as wands and a further $5 will give you customizable firearms.

Also do take note ammunition is bought separately and i think its best to buy the 30 dollar unlimited ammo stockpile so you don't have to repurchase to get your ammos back.

Who needs wood sticks wands and cast Avada Kedavra when you can put holes into your enemies.

This is misinformation, there’s no firearms in Harry Potter games.

Fextralife says there’s a closed in game shop that’s not available for reviewers rn

this is the only store

Q: Is there console exclusive content in Hogwarts Legacy?
A: The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest, an eerie mystery-adventure involving Hogsmeade shopkeeper Madam Mason, will be available only for PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 versions of Hogwarts Legacy. Players who complete the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest and associated dungeon will also get exclusive access to their own shop in Hogsmeade where they can sell items and gear at rates better than anywhere else in-game.
