Lets Discuss Wands. What Wand Do You Have?
Considered to be a ‘complex and mysterious branch of magic’- wand-making refers to a ‘wandmaker’ using wand cores and woods to construct wands for witches and wizards. The profession dates back many many centuries, and the earliest known wandmakers were said to have been druids. A druid was considered to be, in Celtic times, a member of the learned and priestly class. Druids considered anything with a ‘woody stem’ to be a tree, which led to them producing wands out of things like vine- a tradition followed by wandmaker Garrick Ollivander in the 20th century. Though druids were skilled at their craft, at this stage in history it was still totally normal for a customer of a wand shop to bring their own core with them, a tradition that has basically fallen off in more recent times.

Cedar 12 1/2" dragon core with pliant flexibility. :D

"Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them."

"As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner. The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental."

Vine wood with a phoenix core 10 ¾" and slightly yielding flexibility
Ebony wood, Dragon heartstring core, 12 1/2" with rigid flexibility
Rowan wood with a phoenix core 13" and slightly yielding flexibility

" Rowan wood has always been much-favoured for wands, because it is reputed to be more protective than any other, and in my experience renders all manner of defensive charms especially strong and difficult to break. It is commonly stated that no dark witch or wizard ever owned a rowan wand, and I cannot recall a single instance where one of my own rowan wands has gone on to do evil in the world. Rowan is most happily placed with the clear-headed and the pure-hearted, but this reputation for virtue ought not to fool anyone - these wands are the equal of any, often the better, and frequently out-perform others in duels. "

" This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won. "
I've got Sycamore wood with a phoenix core, 12 ¾" and surprisingly swishy flexibility. <3
this is based off pottermore and i only remember the wood/core so take it for what it is

hawthorn wood and a unicorn core.
Sycamore wood with a dragon core 14" and hard flexibility:CultEye::CultMoon::CultPentagram::CultTriangle:
Poplar, 10 ¾, Rigid flexibility.

Poplar tends to choose witches and wizards with strong morals and integrity. They've got uniform power, while not the most powerful of wands, they're reliable, and have uniform power. Less fluctuating in power than other woods.

Unicorn hair tends to be the most loyal wand core type, so it's a lot harder to steal from someone that has another core type. Most consistent magic can be made with them, though if seriously mishandled the hair might "die" and thus need replacing.

Rigid flexibility tends to indicate that I'm not that easily swayed in opinions, but still more swayed than someone with an even more stiff wand type.
