and asked "Why isn't there 15 year olds making out in this?"
yeah you'd be a creep wouldn't you?
Please don't correct me on this.
Some common ground is nice to point out in this crazy place.
I respect your desire to keep things civil, even if we dont agree on things.
I don't know. personally, I feel this blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. They're asking if there are romance stories between their 15 year-old character and their companions, not if they as 50 year-olds can engage in romance with 15 year-olds.
I mean I see how you're approaching this, and I get what you're saying. I just feel that it expects that every player is failing to separate fantasy and reality. If this were the way of things, I couldn't play half the games on the market. I wouldn't exactly feel comfortable having Fire Emblem's Tharja stalking me IRL, but when she was stalking my avatar in the game, it was whatever.
Nope. Drawn CP is still CP.
therefore Please stop. go get a partner of your own age.
and stop trying to go through 20 loopholes to make it sound better, it makes it sound worse
With respect - and I do respect you, I've seen you present many good takes regarding this game - you're engaging strawmen. I never said anything about art or any kind of pornography, nor did I suggest I was seeking any sort of "partner" in a fictional character.
I was making the argument that an inability to separate ourselves from the characters we play would make most games problematic. Playing GTA Online would make us all criminals by this failure of logic.
I'm not saying that some people can't separate the two, surely there are those who can't. Only that it isn't the norm, and to thus to assume everyone isn't separating the two is a bad faith stance.
So, it's would be the same with movie/book author creating teen series with teen romance, like in Harry Potter Movies or any american series with stories about High-School
Nontheless, no matter what, there is no evidence of people appreciating heart warming romance in a fictional world being pervert
Most of the time, the people actively doing virtue signaling are the ones being pervert
I guess there are also people calling the police, if a father just hugs his kids. However, you could also argue that someone with a furry in his profile picture is into animals, if you go the same road.
i can understand when one don't want it in game, and i think it isn't necessary for the game. but since most "children" make their first experiences in the age between 14-16, it would be ok. not to mention that most of these children will meet in school.
Can you add evidence of that ?
Because using this logic
Drawn weapons are still weapons
Drawn murder is still murder
Drawn life is still life
Drawn food is still food
In a book its a bit different, because we are not actually harry potter. I wanted harry to succeed in life ever since he was licking the salt out of the chip bags in the trash. I was invested in HIS story. It was more like rooting for a friend.
Perhaps that's the disconnect. For me, I enjoy crafting characters to put into the world. Whereas others might be plugging themselves directly into the game. Perhaps that's where the people asking for this clash with folks like Miro Fox.
It may be that they're creating an original character, while Miro Fox and company are looking to plug themselves into the setting.
With that understanding, I certainly understand his position a bit better.
Would mean shooting someone in a game is still shooting someone, as it is also drawn. Means it would give credit to politicians who likes to bann shooters, because they say it would make people murderers.
