That's because the article author merely copy/pasted the patronus list from the wizarding world site. It isn't related to Hogwarts Legacy.

i wished a had a pine marten, my patronus is a fox terrier, a damn dog. i have been scared of dogs for my entire life. i completely freeze up whenever i see one, how on earth am i supposed to cast my patronus knowing what shape it will take.

I can see where you are coming from, but I think you are putting too much into the semantics. I hope you are right, but at this point I'm not getting my hopes up. That said, it would be.... odd, to not have patronuses.
