I just made my Wizard profile and got Hufflepuff as my house, a tiger as my patronus and a brittle pine wand.

You can indeed link it to the game for getting the house and wand. No patronus in Hogwarts Legacy tho.

How does this work if you don't do the quizz? Do you just pick your house, wand and patronus during character creation?

By connecting your accounts you unlock the ability to use your wand and house in the game. You are also able to say no, and choose the wand and house that you want to. Besides that you'll unlock a mask and the House Fan-atic robe which looks different depending on your house. I don't think anything you'll do in-game affects your wizarding world profile.

Not sure you can do it without doing the quiz. I had to actually delete my account and make a new to "re-roll" my patronus.
