What is the gameplay like

Sorry for my ignorance but what is the gameplay going to be exactly. So far from what I've seen are activities that take place around Hogwarts. Is this going to be a people sim like persona or a more traditional open world game?

like dark souls rolling while rolling your flamboyant wrist around flicking 20 colors of re-colored spells. That will be 60 dollars + TIP btw.
also there's no collision if you run in front of moving people/objects..... they phase through you...
not buying until reviews drop I suggest you do the same.

The gameplay does look cool, and the magic system is interesting, I'm just not sure of how the mission structure is set up.

The combat is a mixture of button mashing (To sustain combos.) and spell mixing for flare and viability. When an enemy puts up a shield of a corresponding color, you have to react with a spell of that color. The exploration is a combination of using the right spells to figure out the puzzles. The story from what we've seen/heard is a 50/50, some will like it, some will not. The world however is gorgeous and well crafted.
