Worst character creation EVER

I mean, seriously, compared to all known and set RPG standards, this game falls short on any of them. 2009's Dragon Age; Origins has better character creator than this debacle and it's 2023.

Am I the only person who is seriously disappointed by this? There is hardly anyone talking about it. I'm specifically talking about the presets and face shapes. There are a dozen or so face presets and that's it. In the live stream they even talked about how you could make yourself and every character you would like and then showed us this. How am I supposed to make myself from a preset? If they're going down the preset route then fine, but I don't understand why we only get to choose between face shapes and there is no way to change individual features like nose, mouth, and eye shape. And I'm not even beginning to talk about voice pitch customizing, oh boy can you make yourself sound like a total donut.

This all combined is just absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable and intolerable for any serious AAA title. They're making an RPG (or aRPG at that matter, I know there are many snowflakes out there who get triggered by the mere mention of the word RPG considering any game) and they have failed at the very start, ability to immerse yourself by creating a character that looks like you.

They've included ability to play as a transgender character and named male and female voice options "voice 1" and "voice 2" but it seems their budget ended on adding proper customization. Just pathetic.

Steam point farmer. They hunt down the "next big game" then crap on it hoping that someone will give them steam points... and they're right they always get them.

When the Steam community finally stops rewarding people for trolling like this, then it'll stop. Otherwise happens every big-name game.

So not following blind fanatical hype and having critical thinking means being paid to cast a shade nowadays. No wonder game devs does not care about core features such as character customization anymore, fans will eat any sh-it with gusto and will ask for more.

Well it's not like it's a korean mmo. There are quite a few options. It could have been a lot worse. But hey, you can pet the cats. That's what matters right?

Well, even if they are trying to farm points, they DO own a copy of the game. And there's still plenty of variety, even if you can't do full facial manipulation of the character ala many bethesda games. Would I complain about more facial options? Certainly not, but neither am I whining because they still gave us a good chunk of options.

Because proper character creator is a feature THAT YOU WOULD NATURALLY EXPECT FROM A GAME LIKE THIS? Like, come the f- on! One of their marketing and advertisement points was based on ability to make yourself and every character you would like and that makes perfect sense, it's an RPG game in a Harry Potter universe, a universe we all wanted to be part of since childhood. Become a student in Hogwarts, explore the castle, attend the classes and learn spells. And we all expected ourselves to become that student. And finally, they have promised to deliver that.

And what did we get? Choosing from an array of facial presets with no customization whatsoever? Is that "truly" what everyone was expected?

If that is indeed so then consider all of my faith in gaming fans as a whole and HP fans in particular utterly lost.
